As our very first single varietal Mourvèdre, we know many club members have been eagerly awaiting its release, and we are thrilled to finally share it with you. The judges at the 2021 Washington Wine Awards agree, giving it a “Gold”! When we tasted this southern Rhône varietal in barrel, we were blown away by its complexity, and simply wanted to showcase this wine all on its own. Medium red in color, this 100% Mourvèdre is filled with vanilla, bramble, smoke, black olives, red plum, and dried green herbs on the nose. On the palate, it presents medium plus tannins, medium acidity, and notes of game, black tea, cacao nibs, and sweet tobacco.
