Arandell
NC - Yadkin Valley
Arandell is a North American hybrid with parentage from Pinot Noir. Rather than a red fruit background like Pinot, it has a blueberry background and hence the name from the Spanish word for blueberry, Arandano and "ell" for Cornell which is where it was developed. Released in 2013, Adagio was the first to plant in Virginia and North Carolina and currently the only ones producing the wine.
It has a unique flavor of a hint of blueberry with plum and raisin.
