Old Mission Peninsula is nestled between the deep waters of Grand Traverse Bay, within Lake Michigan. The proximity to the warmth of the Lake helps us achieve beautiful fruit chemistry allowing our wines to show their full potential. Pinot Gris has found a happy home in the Old Mission Peninsula AVA. Nearly 40% of our Vineyard is planted with Pinot Gris 04(53) clone, which hails from Alsace, France. The grapes are fermented and then the wine is aged in stainless steel for eight months. The style of this medium-bodied wine shows the extent of what Pinot Gris can do – it is a beautifully dry wine, with notes of peaches and honeyed nectarines.
