100% Zinfandel that is a bit bolder than the 2019, but every bit as beautiful and complex. A translucent jewel tone ruby color leads to aromas of cinnamon, butterscotch caramel, and jammy plum, followed by tart raspberry, smoked cherries, baking spices, and toffee, with a smooth light peppery finish that spreads across the palate. This is a very versatile food wine that can accent a variety of dishes including stuffed portobello mushrooms, bbq, burgers, pasta, a hearty pot roast, brie with fig jam, and fireplace smores. The Johnson Family Vineyard (also home to my Cabernet Sauvignon) is a tiny (less than 2 acres) vineyard that produces some amazing fruit and I'm so pleased that I can share it with you. 4 Barrels Made.
