The deeper darker side of Pinot Noir. These 100% Swan Clone grapes were grown right next to my 2019 Calera-clone Pinot Noir at the Righetti Vineyard in Edna Valley and picked on the same morning, but they really showcase the difference clonal selection can make. Dark cherry and pomegranate combine with a wonderful spiciness, earthy Burgundian mouthfeel, and balanced acidity to create a rich complex wine with a long finish that doesn't try to be a Syrah (like so many Pinots today) - it is unabashedly 100% Pinot Noir, ready to enjoy now, but also built to age.
