This bright and beautiful Pinot Noir was made from some very special grapes grown with great care by Chalone legend Michael Michaud from clones he hand-selected from the original plantings dating back some 50-60+ years at the Upper and Lower Chalone Vineyards next to the Pinnacles National Park. The color of light ruby slippers; a nose of first cherries and then jubilee, evoking a Jazz Speakeasy during Prohibition; sweet & spicy cherry tobacco in the mouth: with a delightful lingering finish featuring root beer notes. Quintessential Pinot kissed by the sun - perfect with burgers and hot dogs over a campfire on those Airstream nights.
