This bright and beautiful Pinot Noir was made from some very special grapes grown with great care by Chalone legend Michael Michaud from clones he hand-selected from the original plantings dating back some 50-60+ years at the Upper and Lower Chalone Vineyards next to the Pinnacles National Park. Light garnet with a hint of amber in color; cherry vanilla soda, dried plum, and hints of pepper, tobacco, and chocolate cake on the nose; tart cherry, raspberry, cranberry, and strawberry rhubarb pie in the mouth: with a warm and velvety finish of holiday baking spice notes. Quintessential Pinot kissed by the sun and perfect with paella, clove-studded ham, gooey brownies, and all your Holiday feasts.
