100% Cabernet Franc from Martian Ranch Vineyard. I've been in love with Cab Franc for a long time and I'm proud to present my first commercial release to you. Martian Ranch has always produced my favorite Cab Franc along the Central Coast, so while I was bummed to hear that they were no longer making their own wines to focus strictly on farming, I was absolutely thrilled to be able to source this wine from this amazing biodynamically-farmed vineyard. Full-bodied, complex and intense, with notes of brambly red and black fruit, tobacco, and leather, along with good acidity, and just a hint of that herbaceous funk (more cayenne pepper than green pepper) that Cab Franc (Frunk?) is famous for. Wonderful with steak, but also great with rich tomato-based pasta dishes.
