About the Winery
Brutocao shares Notre Dame’s passion for tradition, family, and excellence, producing wines that showcase the land they farm in California’s premier wine country, as well as their Italian homeland near Venice. Whether spelled Brutocao or Brutoco, this family has a lasting presence on campus with their magnificent In Celebration of Family sculpture and eleven alumni and students who call Notre Dame home (Dan ’82, Scott ’91, Desiree [DeLisle] ’91, Marcus ’06, Paul ’09, Caitlin [Murphy] ’09 SMC, Adam A. ’11, Connor ’15, Claire [Bedalov] ’15, Michael ’19, and Adam D. ’20).
Rudi and Diana Brutoco are members of Notre Dame's President's Circle and serve on the Advisory Council for the College of Arts and Letters. Dr. Rudi Brutoco is a guest lecturer in the Department of Psychology and a graduate psychology fellowship is awarded under his name. In 2014, he was awarded the University's Dr. William P. Sexton Award honoring non-alumni of Notre Dame who have contributed outstanding service to the University and whose lives exemplify the spirit of the University.
