View Details Hide DetailsJoe Alarid’s Tondré Grapefield is in the center of the Santa Lucia Highlands and has earned a reputation as one of the top vineyards in the region. Here the fog and breezes provide ideal conditions for growing cool climate varieties like Riesling. We fermented the wine until completely dry in neutral oak barrels. This a full bodied wine with flavors of apricot and aromas of honey. The abundant fruit is balanced by mouth watering acidity. Serve lightly chilled with your favorite spicy dishes or fresh seafood.

This is our first Chardonnay from Monterey County that does not feature a single vineyard. It was made from a carefully chosen selection of our barrels of Brosseau and Escolle Vineyards. This wine is full bodied and rich but without significant oak. It was bottled without fining or filtering. This Chardonnay has aromas of lemon peel and an excellent balance of fruit and acidity. Serve it lightly chilled and pair it with roasted chicken or turkey, seafood, or pastas with cream sauce.

Brosseau Vineyard, with a deep limestone soil, is located in the mountains to the east of Soledad near Pinnacles National Park. This Chardonnay was harvested at night to preserve the high quality of the fruit. Fermented and aged in 50 % new French oak barrels, the wine was bottled without fining or filtration. It has a complex nose of fruit and minerality. The taste has full, rich flavors with considerable elegance and shows excellent balance with an overall character similar to fine French Burgundies.

View Details Hide DetailsLime Kiln Valley is a small viticultural area located in the San Benito County south of Hollister. The area features soils of decomposed granite and limestone, with warm days and cool nights that lead to a long growing season producing balanced wines with great depth. We think that Sam’s great grandparents produced wine from grapes grown here more than a century ago so we are pleased to offer this Zinfandel. Aged in American oak and bottled without fining or filtration, the wine is full-bodied with rich berry flavors and a smooth finish. Enjoy it with barbecue, grilled meats or pasta.

View Details Hide DetailsLocated in Corralitos, Lester is an excellent place to grow Pinot Noir. Here, under the care of Prudy Foxx this delicate grape slowly ripens and produces wines with a remarkable balance of fruit and acidity. Ours was fermented in small lots and punched down by hand daily. The wine was aged in high quality French oak barrels (15% new) and bottled unfined and unfiltered. We expect this Pinot Noir to develop over several years due to its complex structure, but it is delicious upon release. Pair with duck, grilled salmon or filet mignon.

Our goal was to create a wine similar to the classic bistro wines of France, especially the Loire Valley red wines that are mostly produced from Cabernet Franc. The wine features aromas of violets and fresh herbs and has plum flavors with a subtly spicy finish. Serve with burgers, meatballs in tomato sauce, or black lentils.

View Details Hide DetailsPlanted in 2008, Escolle is located in the Northern part of the AVA on a hillside overlooking the Salinas Valley. The vineyard features a cool climate due to the breeze and fog from nearby Monterey Bay that make it an excellent place to grow Chardonnay. This wine was fermented and aged in French oak barrels then bottled without fining or filtration. It is a rich, full-bodied Chardonnay with an excellent balance of fruit and acidity. In the aroma are hints of oak and tropical fruits and in the taste flavors of citrus and melon. Serve lightly chilled and enjoy it over the next several years.
