Produced with the Loire Valley's classic Cabernet Francs in mind, this offering is fruit-forward and underpinned with savory, herbal accents. Careful oxygen management neutral barrel aging was employed to soften tannins, without getting in the way of the wine's natural aromas. Fun Fact: this Cabernet Franc was part of the last vintage harvested from Smith Brothers' Farm in North Rose, NY before they decided not to grow grapes anymore.
In 2001, the Martin’s realized the importance of their location in the fruit belt of New York and decided to try their hand at making fruit wines. The concept of Montezuma Winery was then formed. Although we do produce high-quality grape wines, the focus of our product line is still fruit and honey wines.
