This is a wine for Sauvignon Blanc lovers. Zippy acidity and a flinty minerality coupled with honeydew, green apple, and grapefruit peel, with just a hint of jasmine on the nose. Very good for grilling, summer salad, seafood (especially oysters).
Knapp Winery is located on the west side of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes. It is nestled in a valley less than a mile from the shore. Estate grown vinifera such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Lemberger, comprise much of the farm land that slope to the lake.
