Alcohol
Just a hint of herbal notes from the Cabernet Franc, but has the big structure of Cabernet Sauvignon tempered with the sweet berry notes of Merlot. Lots of cherry cola and sweet vanilla. Full-bodied, toasty oak, a show stopper wine. Pair with braised shortribs and polenta or mushroom risotto.
Knapp Winery is located on the west side of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes. It is nestled in a valley less than a mile from the shore. Estate grown vinifera such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Lemberger, comprise much of the farm land that slope to the lake.
