Freeze dried raspberries, with baking spice and dried fruit leather. The oak gives the wine sweet tobacco and vanilla notes. Big, sexy wine with powerful fruit (blackberry) backed by supple tannins. A contemplative wine, will also go well with food like ribeye and rack of lamb. Going to keep developing in the bottle for the next 5-15 years
Knapp Winery is located on the west side of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes. It is nestled in a valley less than a mile from the shore. Estate grown vinifera such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Lemberger, comprise much of the farm land that slope to the lake.
