The Sloat Family History began back in 1924 with farm hands and horse drawn equipment. It was at this time that the hidden spring became a perfect place to stop for a refreshing drink of water using the ladle hanging on a nearby tree. Over the years, the use of the land has changed with the times, but the family tradition of farming has remained. From potatoes, to dairy cows, to horses: to growing a variety of berries and fruits, the farm has evolved into what is now the Home of "Hidden Spring Winery".
