On November 10, 2017 several winemakers gathered together to create a wine blend to support the efforts of Urban Connoisseurs to tell their story! Theodora Lee, owner of Theopolis Vineyards brought barrel samples from her 2016 Petite Sirah, a consistent award winning and 90+ points estate grown Big Red. An amazing Rhône Blend was birthed (Longevity Wines' Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre; and Theopolis Vineyards' Petite Sirah). This exclusive limited production (100 Cases) is the beginning of the story of the lives of several African American winemakers and the impact they’ve made in this 200+ billion dollar wine industry. Proceeds from the sale of this blend ($100/bottle) benefit the documentary, Journey between the Vines: The Black Winemakers' Story written by Urban Connoisseurs’ owner Marcia Jones.
