Comprised of grapes from the estate vineyard and from the Yakima Valley this vintage was a challenge due to record breaking rain. Grape must from the estate vineyard was fermented with over 10 lbs of untoasted oak chips mixed in per ton. The estate portion was isolated from that which was sourced from Yakima. Upon pressing the portions remained separate with the estate wine aging in new American oak barrels while the other portion was aged in older neutral barrels. The two portions were brought together at bottling at a ratio of approximately 50%.
