Stony Run Winery is located in the foothills of Hawk Mountain in beautiful Kempton, Pennsylvania. Our over 50 acres of vineyards are located off I-78 in the picturesque countryside!

Stony Run is a new generation of Pennsylvania winery. Since 2013, we’ve worked hard to bring together the best technology, grapes, and people from around the world to handcraft our exceptional wines. Wine truly is made in the vineyard. We know that the best wine starts with the best fruit. That mindset continues in the winery where our wines are made utilizing our world class equipment and the knowledge and passion of our talented crew. The result is world class wines available right here in Pennsylvania!

Stony Run has one of the largest vineyards in Southeastern Pennsylvania, growing over 50 acres of grapes that include 22 varieties. We have the latest French and Italian clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Riesling. Stony Run also has the top clones the world has to offer of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and Petit Verdot. We have the best white varieties from around the world, including Austria’s Gruner Veltliner, Spain’s Albarino, New Zealand’s Sauvignon Blanc, and more!

Having expansive vineyards and different clones allows for constant monitoring and fine tuning of our terroir. Thus we can finesse our grape growing and winemaking based on what clones and varietals do best in our foothill microclimates. This gives more weight to the old saying that wine is made in the vineyard. Knowing where the grapes come from and what they have gone through allows for a consistent and transparent approach from grape to glass.

Stony Run specializes in dry, European varietals of vinifera. Our cutting edge technology comes from Italy. We age our reds in real French, Hungarian, and American Oak barrels. World class talent from Mendoza, Argentina consults in the winemaking process to ensure premium world class wines.
