Our Cabernet Franc has an elegant flair
A vintage we are pleased to share
With black fruit flavors and a hint of spice
This rich red wine is supple and nice.
Cabernet Franc is one of the major black grapes grown world-wide and one of the two parents of Cabernet Sauvignon (Cab Franc x Sauvignon Blanc!) Records of Cabernet Franc in Bordeaux, France go back to the 18th century. It is often grown to be used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the Bordeaux style (like in our Crimson Quartette and Grande Rouge) but stands alone as a great varietal wine and one of our favorites!
2014 Cabernet Franc was a silver metal winner at the 2016 San Francisco International Winery Competition
Tasting notes:
Dry Red. A rich and full-bodied wine with red fruit and spice, aged in oak barrels.
