Our 2021 vintage Dark Angel is a blend of 91% Carménère and 9% Petit Verdot sourced from Pontin del Roza Vineyard a single vineyard exclusive to Cellar Beast located in the heart of Yakima Valley, WA . Aged for 16 months in 20% New French Oak and 80% Neutral French Oak to showcase the quality of this gorgeous fruit.
Aromatically this fruit pushes its Carménère varietal characteristics immediately showcasing intense charred poblano with a dusting of white pepper while the Petit Verdot supplies ample structure through dark fruit elements. On the palate the complex pepper profile continues while being cradled by the supple tannic structure of the Petit Verdot's supporting role.
