Wine maker Si once bought a Red Hereford heifer at the livestock auction on a warm summer evening. Within seconds of being released onto pasture she charged right at that great big fence, busted through, and ran to freedom in the steep mountains. This wine reminds us of that heifer- rebellious, spicy, and free.
Tasting Notes: Mildly oaked, medium body, smooth mouthfeel with a crisp and tart finish. Notes of tart cherries and coffee with a smokey essence. Pair with smokey meats, fatty beef, marinara sauce, or rich and creamy cheeses.
