This semi-sweet white wine features Seyval grapes that I buy from Iowa growers. It is a light wine that goes exceptionally well with food, particulary poultry and other Thanksiving Day-type table fare. Gandy Dancer was the nickname given to the workers who laid and maiintained railroad tracks, including the line that passed the site of our current-day vineyard, site of the 1920 train wreck for which we are named.

We are a family-operated winery in North Central Iowa crafting wines from cold-climate grapes. Our vineyard is on the Clark Century Farm, adjacent to the site of a locally famous 1920 train wreck. Our winery is in the beautifully restored 1917 Chicago Northwestern Train Depot in Algona, Iowa. Train Wreck Winery LLC is solely owned by Dallas Clark. Dallas was an All-American football player at the University of Iowa, and while playing for the Indianapolis Colts was a Super Bowl Champion and All-Pro tight end.
