This is the rare wine of Turtle Run. We are putting it online as a thank you for those who are supporting us during the virus time.

We make very little riesling, most of it is allocated into Catherines Blend. We never have it on our winery tasting sheet. We open a bottle perhaps 2 or 3 days a year and those who try it buy it up throughout the year. We have been making riesling for 7 years now so it has a secret cult following. And we do run out.

The riesling, though super light in color is super intense in flavor and the finish goes on and on and on. It is a delicacy on the taste buds. Nice mineral notes with crisp fruit. Just awesome

A friend of mine grows this grape in Pennsylvania. About 5 years ago he had extra. Are you kidding? Sure, I'll try the grapes out. Goodness! What a treasure. A rare bottling. We don't get much to play with a year, and it's a pain to work with due to scale, but it's totally worth it.

Turtle Run Winery is located in the southern part of the Indiana Uplands American Viticulture Area and is known for making expressive wines following the European traditions of barrel fermentations, barrel aging, no oak products added, long, extended skin contact for dry reds, so no tannin addition, arrested fermentation sweet wines so no sugar or juice added. Yes, real wine. And yes, our flavors vary from vintage to vintage. We've won lots of wine competitions with "best in class" wines...coast to coast.
