Spero Winery
Spero Winery is a boutique winery in the Denver metro area. Clyde Spero continues his family's time-honored tradition of winemaking, which he learned from his father, Gaetano Spero. Gaetano came to America from Potenza, Italy, where he learned winemaking from his father, and so it goes back for generations. White, red and dessert wines are made primarily from CO grapes and fruit from Palisade and Pueblo, CO with a few from Spero's own Denver vineyard. Some grapes come from Lodi, CA, where his wife's cousin has a vineyard. However, wine made from grapes from the two states are never mixed!
